As human beings we're often obsessed with ourselves. How can I get the most happiness? What can I do to feel most joy? Well, today I was reminded that one of the things that gives me the most joy is seeing it in others.
Today I met up with Britt, a friend from home, who is heading up a team of girls for ministry in Kampala area. I remember being in this country for the first time and feeling wonder and curiosity, but today I relived it all watching those girls see wonder everywhere they looked! The motocycles, the pop in the stores, every little thing! These are the things that remind me of God's smile.

This blog and is year-long experiment inspired by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Ann Voskamp who discovered the secret to living life at its fullest. The secret? Thankfulness. Time slows and joy increases as we stop to acknowledge the numerous gifts we have and the One that gave them. Ultimately, this blog is inspired by God. I want to intentionally look for God's gifts this year, the inklings, the hints of His grace that are evident in our daily lives. Want to journey with me?
"When I realize that it is not God who is in my debt but I who am in His great debt, then doesn't all become gift?
For He might not have." -Ann Voskamp
